Happy Spring! The grass is getting green, our show riders are prepping for the first show of the season, and the horses are SHEDDING- it must be Spring!
We are looking forward to an exciting year at LionHeart. Can you believe that June 10th will be the 10th Anniversary of the first lesson at LHRA? Believe me, neither can I, and I bet Amanda Ebling, that first student, probably can’t either. But so much as changed since then, and LionHeart has grown so much.
Right now, we are gearing up for an exciting Spring Break Camp- five days of education and fun for the last week of March. We hope your kiddo can join us- hop on over to the Camps page for more details. Our Summer Camps are also shaping up to be pretty awesome- for the first time ever, we had a Summer Camp sell out by the end of February- WOW! So excited for that Show Prep Camp- we are going to have a terrific time.
Our Drill Team has been doing some awesome work and created a really fun new “move” called the Olympic Rings- can’t wait to show that off to everyone. The kids that have done it have said it’s their new favorite and the parents that have seen it say it looks awesome. (Can’t lie, I think it does, too!) What’s Drill Team, you ask? Well, it’s a group of horses and riders doing a planned routine together- very synchronized. It’s tough to get eight or twelve souls all headed in the same direction, but it sure is fun when they get it right!
And of course, our show riders are revving up for an exciting show season. We are looking forward to some new riders joining us this year, and I am super-excited that the Pony Team is going to be hitting the Academy circuit around here with renewed strength- up-and-coming Academy Superstars Archie and Fitz are polishing up their skills and are ready to hit the ring! Jake is relieved to have some backup this year- though I think he’s also looking around and wondering where his riders all went. Who will step up and show Jake??
