Mastery
“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”
-Winston Churchill

LionHeart Riding Academy teaches for mastery -- mastery is an unending quest of achievement, requiring a disciplined pursuit of realistic but challenging goals.  Mastery requires close attention to every detail.  A rider’s proper positioning and form is essential to show ring success in equitation classes and enhances the performance rider’s presentation of their horse as well.

“Success is achieved by development of our strengths, not by elimination of our weaknesses.”
- Marilyn Vos Savant
Through private lessons, LionHeart students and visitors pursue their individual goals.  From seasoned equitation rider to beginner to hunt seat rider exploring saddle seat -- everyone has a place at LHRA.

Intermediate and advanced riders are invited to assist Cub Club riders in their lessons.  This role challenges our upper-level riders’ mastery of riding principles and strategies in a new way and also supports belonging, generosity and independence.
But it’s not all work and no play at LionHeart Riding Academy!

After some challenging private lessons in the arena, these riders enjoy a bareback ride together around the front lawn on Minnie.
