6 Riders Showing at Mid-Summer Classic!

This Saturday, July 14, is the Central Missouri Mid-Summer Classic at the Central Missouri Events Center (formerly known as the Boone County Fairgrounds).  The show starts at 10:00 am, and we have lots of riders showing!  Please come out and support The Pride!

First up, in classes 2 and 3, will be LionHeart rider, instructor, and groom Keri Harris showing Captain in Academy Saddle Seat W/T/C Adult.  Keri hasn’t shown in many years and is so excited to get back in the ring!  Also notable- this is the first time Keri has actually gotten to show an American Saddlebred!  She’s been working with them for over 15 years, and has never actually gotten to show one.  I bet there will be a BIG SMILE!

Next will come another BIG SMILE– Amanda Sorensen will make her Academy debut on her favorite horse, Jake (show name Legerdemain).  Amanda has only been riding for about 6 months but she has been working REALLY hard and can’t wait to get in the ring.  Amanda will show in classes 10 and 11, Academy SS W/T 11-17.

Then it’s time for Little Miss Giggles- Randi Adams- on the cutest pony in the WHOLE WORLD, Archie!!  This will be Archie’s first real horse show.  Randi has been doing an awesome job with her ringmanship- come and watch some really expert diamonds and quarterlines.  Randi’s going to show those 10 and Under W/T Academy riders how it’s done!

Classes 16 and 17 will bring in our LionHeart Itty-Bitties: Lucy Goyne and La Minuet (Minnie) and Emma Tatlow on Jake!  They will be showing in Leadline Walk and Trot 8 and Under.  Let’s see if they can get their diagonals!

And finally, last but not least, A Lucky Town (aka Ralf) and Allison Trent will show in class 22, Country Pleasure Adult, and if they’re not completely baked and dead, class 37, Country Pleasure Novice.

I am so proud of all of these riders- all of them have worked very hard to be ready for this show.  For some, it’s been months, for others it has been YEARS, but they have all been working like crazy and I am so excited to see them in the ring.  Please come out and cheer for them, and learn more about showing and how you can improve your own performance in the ring!
